Production Planner Jobs in Washington

A Production Planner in the manufacturing industry is responsible for planning and organizing production schedules, assessing project and resource requirements, and estimating, negotiating, and agreeing on budgets and timelines with clients and managers. They also ensure that the manufacturing process meets health and safety regulations, and they oversee product standards and implement quality control programs. Their role is pivotal in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or among departments according to production schedules. They also confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.

Important skills for a Production Planner include analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of production procedures, and the ability to plan and prioritize work. They should also have knowledge of production planning and quality control principles, and be experienced in reading and understanding product schematics and blueprints.
