Production Manager Jobs in Ontario

A Production Manager in the manufacturing industry is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of manufacturing plants and similar places. Their duties include planning, coordinating, and controlling the manufacturing processes, ensuring goods are produced efficiently and that the right amount of products are of good quality and cost-effective. Key skills and qualifications include a degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field, experience in a similar leadership role, strong understanding of industry and market trends, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Certifications such as Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) can be advantageous. Prior to becoming a Production Manager, one could have roles such as Production Supervisor, Quality Control Inspector, or Operations Manager.
