Responsible for monitoring, operating and troubleshooting the equipment while working efficiently and following all procedures for producing quality products according to customer specifications, as well as following safety, GMP and quality procedures. The machine operator is also required to do complete washouts of the machinery at the end of a production run.

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS
Cross-trained operator capable of running all production floor equipment to support coverage needs, maintain workflow continuity, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
Able to operator various manufacturing equipment in mass/high volume production environment.
Requires the ability to manipulate small parts and gauges
Ability to use thinking and reasoning skills to solve a problem.
Set up machine at beginning of shift to ensure proper working order.
Perform safety checks throughout shift.

Adjust machine components according to finished product specifications
Load packaging material into machine throughout shift.
Stop and adjust machine in cases of malfunctions / jams
Troubleshoot problems during operation
Inspect and remove defective items or those that do not meet quality standards
Function as needed in various capacities, including moving supplies and discard, filling in for other teammates as necessary and other duties as assigned.

Assist Area Supervisor in managing production line crew ensuring that goals are met daily, help set new goals and improve morale within the department in compliance with plant food safety requirements.
Participate in investigations of safety/environmental incidents, production and quality problems. Reports all accidents to the Area Supervisor and assists in completing the necessary accident reports
Responsible for CIP/COP according to the cleaning plan and hygiene regulations.
Assist Quality with conducting quality control examinations of product to determine if it meets the proper specifications. Report any problems impacting quality, productivity or yield to the Area Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
Complete required written and electronic reports. Assist with timekeeping management of line/department employees (schedule rotations, breaks, etc.).
Ability to interact effectively with various levels of professionals in the organization.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Good mechanical skills.
Clean machine and perform preventative maintenance
Test and evaluate products to verify correct weights, seals, film orientation, codes, labels, etc.
