Job Title: Materials Handler III
Location: Pomona, CA
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (hours subject to change based on workload)
Pay Rate: $23.57/hour
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for material movement activities within a warehouse environment. This role supports inventory management, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse or material handling experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform material movements and inventory transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, process receiving activities, and perform material put-away.
- Pick orders and prepare daily customer shipments.
- Process stock transfers and material requests.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage material movement and inventory transactions.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies using root cause analysis.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, and other warehouse equipment (with appropriate training/certification).
- Assist in training and supporting team members as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse processes and material flow.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate them to management.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
- Follow all company policies, SOPs, GMP requirements, ISO standards, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and all applicable company and regulatory requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of material handling or warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as required.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying workloads.
- On-the-job training will be provided for warehouse operations, manufacturing processes, safety procedures, GMP, and ISO standards.
