Production Operator

Kelly Services is seeking a motivated and dependable Production Operator to join our team in Tiffin, OH. As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing operations by supporting machine operators, handling parts, assisting with quality control, and maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout your shift.

Shift: 3rd Shift / Sunday – Thursday, 09:30PM – 06:00AM (OT as Needed)

Pay Rate: $18.50/hr

Training: First day on 1st shift (6:15AM), then transition to 3rd shift on the second day

	
• Follow all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  
  	

• Work collaboratively in a team and ensure team members understand their roles and safety precautions.
  
  	

• Assist machine operators, remove parts from presses, separate parts from scrap, and assemble components.
  
  	

• Package specified numbers of parts into appropriate containers, label them, and prepare for storage or the next operation.
  
  	

• Move totes/skids of parts to designated areas.
  
  	

• Maintain awareness of surroundings and keep the workspace clean, tidy, and safe.
  
  	

• Interpret work orders and job control procedures accurately.
  
  	

• Achieve and maintain production goals, requesting materials and assembling packaging as needed.
  
  	

• Report unsafe behavior or environments and ensure safety devices are in place.
  
  	

• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
  
  

Skills & Abilities:

	
• Ability to read, write, and interpret safety rules, work orders, and procedure instructions.
  
  	

• Effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, and management.
  
  	

• Basic mathematical skills.
  
  	

• Ability to use a tape measure.
  
  

Education & Experience:

	
• At least 18 years old.
  
  	

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
  	

• 3-6 months related manufacturing experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  
  

Physical Requirements:

	
• Standing and walking for 8–12 hours per shift.
