General Utility / Sanitation Technicians are critical to success at FritoLay! Our General Utility Techs are responsible for constructing boxes and packing them full of products you already know and love. Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you can expect to perform during a typical workday as a General Utility:
- Supporting production by stacking and feeding bread into the equipment
- Cleaning work environments
- Packing chip bags into boxes
- Additional activities supporting production.
Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you can expect to perform during a typical workday as a Sanitation Technician:
- Cleaning the equipment and lines necessary for manufacturing products
- Wiping down metal conveyors, as well as cleaning the machine itself
- Working with strong, corrosive chemicals, hot water, and cleaning agents
It's a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse or manufacturing environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet the entirety of your shift. General Utility Techs are expected to stay on the line until relieved for break. We're seeking individuals who are flexible, committed, and safety-focused. Here are the minimum qualifications of this job:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
- You can stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
- You can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
- You can repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation
