Production Technician

- Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Overtime may be available based on production demands, including occasional Saturdays
Position Summary
The Production Technician supports manufacturing operations involving the teardown and processing of engines in a production environment. This position is responsible for safely using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment while meeting quality, productivity, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, be comfortable working with mechanical components, and possess strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Support engine teardown and disassembly activities on a manufacturing production line
- Safely operate production equipment, hand tools, and power tools in accordance with established procedures
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency standards
- Follow standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures
- Perform inspections to ensure components meet quality requirements
- Identify and report non-conforming materials, equipment issues, or process concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist with routine equipment care and basic maintenance activities
- Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and support personnel to address equipment or process issues
- Remain flexible and perform additional duties as needed to support production objectives
Safety & Quality
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report hazards, incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support quality initiatives by following established procedures and inspection requirements
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve safety, quality, productivity, and workflow
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, maintenance, or mechanical environment
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with engines, mechanical systems, or equipment teardown
- Forklift operating experience
- Overhead crane operating experience
- Experience in heavy industrial, automotive, diesel, or manufacturing environments
