2nd shift - CNC Lathe Operator with Set-Up Experience

CNC Lathe Operator Wage: $27.00 per hour ($26.00 + $1 shift differential) Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:15pm-12:45am (Mon-Thurs) QPS Employment Group has a great CNC Lathe Operator position available at a company in Fenton, MO. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. The ideal candidate will have experience in set-up, and operated Haas, and experienced in adjusting offsets. (Doosan 500, DMG 125 and lathes) 5 Axis is a plus! CNC Lathe Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills. - Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations. - Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder. - Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures. - Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut. - Set up fixture, starts machine. - Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers. - Observes operation of machine and verifies conformity of machined work piece to specifications. - Keeps work area clean and orderly. - Follows all Company rules and safety policies. - Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems. CNC Lathe Operator Requirements: - Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells. - High School Diploma or equivalent. - 1+ yrs of previous CNC experience preferred. - Ability to add and subtract/basic math. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Good hand-eye coordination. - Ability to lift up to 25lb. - Ability to stand 90% of shift.
