Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator routinely utilizes molds and presses in the manufacturing process to efficiently produce both first parts and regular production parts with minimal supervision. This role requires working on manufacturing assignments according to written procedures and the ability to recognize deviations from accepted practices. The position also necessitates good teamwork and the ability to work well with co-workers. Responsibilities Operate press machines to create parts using molds. Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions. Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length. Place various materials by hand into molds, on mandrels, or in build fixtures. Weigh stock and scrap for salvaging purposes. Monitor production for early detection of defective parts. Regularly use production equipment and tools, such as calipers and scales. Ensure materials handling and recordkeeping comply with company and ISO standards. Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times. Maintain a clutter-free work area, including setup and cleanup at the start and end of shifts. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers. Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Proficiency in reading a tape measure. Skilled in using hand tools to fabricate parts. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Hand dexterity for production tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a Swing Calendar Operator. Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
