Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and skilled Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in precision machining, producing high-quality parts, and supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor. Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team to fabricate products to engineering drawing in a collaborative, team-driven environment.
- Safely operate CNC, Bandsaws, Ironworker, Drill press, Cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, precision, and craftsmanship.
- Work interdepartmentally with Manufacturing, KAIZEN, LOGISTICS, Quality Control, and PE to troubleshoot and solve Manufacturing problems, supporting cross-functional problem solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Practice Kubota safety standards in all aspects of job, contributing to a safety-first, zero-incident culture.
- Practice 5S principles on a daily basis, helping maintain an organized, efficient, and high-performance workspace.
- Perform special projects as requested and related tasks as needed, supporting high-impact operational and continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Skills and Experience
Must be able to work well in a team-oriented environment with a collaborative and positive mindset
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little oversight in a results-driven environment
Strong mechanical aptitude with a passion for hands-on fabrication and problem solving
Understanding and/or ability to Machine (Lathe, Mill, CNC), supporting advanced manufacturing capabilities
Knowledge of MIG welding, delivering high-quality fabrication results
Ability to read engineering drawings and fabricate to specification with a focus on accuracy and detail
English language competency and legible writing ability to support clear communication and documentation
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and/or fabrication shop within a high-volume or fast-paced production setting
- Understands and practices the 5-Gen principles, for example contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and root cause problem solving
- TIG welding knowledge is a plus, expanding technical versatility and skillset
- AWS (American Welding Society) Certified Welder is a plus
