Material Handler Job Description We are seeking a Material Handler to operate pendant-controlled cranes and perform various tasks related to the assembly and movement of large metal components. This role requires handling radiators, coils, and other heavy materials, ensuring they are securely moved and positioned. Your responsibilities will include operating overhead cranes, performing rigging and load securement, assisting in assembly work, supporting coating processes, and managing material flow throughout the production line. Responsibilities Operate pendant-controlled cranes to lift, move, and position coils, radiator assemblies, and large metal components. Use slings, hooks, and rigging hardware to safely secure loads according to OSHA standards. Build radiator units, attach components, perform fastening, and complete sub-assemblies using hand and power tools. Assist with dipping or coating large radiator units in protective solutions when required. Stage raw materials, move finished goods, and support production lines with timely part delivery. Inspect assemblies for alignment, proper fastening, and defects before moving to the next stage. Essential Skills Experience in material handling, inventory management, packing, and general labor. Proficiency in loading, packaging, production, order picking, and forklift operation. Overhead crane operation and rigging skills. Ability to perform assembly and machine operation tasks. Quality assurance knowledge. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School diploma or GED; entry-level position, with a preference for three to nine months of related experience and/or training. Ability to read and understand safety instructions, work instructions, and company policies and procedures. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Why Work Here?
