Hiring Slitter Operator and Helpers 2nd Shift $21-24/hr! Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Slitter Operator, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing all general labor within the plant. You will lead the slitter crew, ensuring smooth processing and conducting in-process inspections. Your responsibilities will include aligning operational requirements with directives from plant management, all while adhering to production schedules and safety regulations. Responsibilities Operate steel slitting line efficiently while following operational protocols. Adhere to production schedules by executing machine orders accurately. Direct and supervise associated support personnel to ensure smooth workflow. Provide steel samples as required for quality control purposes. Execute all assigned administrative tasks with precision. Train and mentor slitter helpers/slitter setup personnel for effective role transitions. Uphold strict adherence to safety regulations outlined in the Plant Employees Manual. Demonstrate punctuality and adherence to attendance policies outlined in the Plant Employee Manual. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in production and manufacturing environments. Proficiency in operating Slitter machines. Leadership skills for supervising processing and conducting in-process inspections. Ability to align operational requirements with directives from plant management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in using specialized machinery such as band breakers, pneumatic banders/crimpers, hand banders, and hand cutters. Experience with auxiliary tools like Jib cranes, micrometers, calipers, pneumatic impact wrenches, tape measures, and calculators. Familiarity with ID/OD calculator wheels and Rockwell machines for precise measurements. Why Work Here? While the facility is not temperature controlled, it remains comfortable with the use of fans and heaters.
