Job Summary

The Fabricator/Machinist plays a pivotal role in upholding Hinckleys standard of excellence. This role involves precision welding, material preparation, and equipment operation to produce high-quality components for our luxury yachts. Responsibilities

  • Welding: Prepare materials for fabrication, including cutting to size, grinding, deburring, and polishing to a mirror finish. TIG and MIG welding various materials, including stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Interpretation: Read and interpret measurements from machine shop inspection equipment, including calipers and micrometers. Work from technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Operation: Operate machine shop and fabrication equipment, including lathes, milling machines, band saws, hydraulic presses, air tools, and grinders. Conduct routine maintenance.
  • Problem Solving: Identify requirements for unique projects. Deliver creative solutions to meet specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow defined instructions and procedures when performing tasks. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Maintain a safe, clean work area.
  • Preferred but not required: Set up and operate a CNC plasma table, 3d modeling and CNC programming.
  • Other: All duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in Metal Technology preferred.
  • Certifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Must hold a valid drivers license. Vocational Degree/Certificate preferred.
  • Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in TIG and MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
  • High attention to detail.
