The Procurement Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Procurement team, with direct involvement in Purchasing, Product Development, Inventory, and Quality Assurance functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent communication with vendors and internal stakeholders, and the ability to manage purchase orders (POs) accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with purchase order processing and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Place and manage purchase orders for inventory items as directed by Procurement leadership
Execute purchase orders for special and negotiated buys
Maintain the weekly PO queue, ensuring accurate ETD/ETA tracking in systems (e.g., xTuple, Asana)
Proactively communicate changes in order status, ETAs, and delays to vendors and internal teams
Ensure deliveries meet timelines and budget expectations; escalate issues as needed
Maintain accurate vendor records and supplier data across systems
Support vendor onboarding and setup processes
Generate and distribute monthly "Purchase Orders Due In" (PODI) reports
Assist with recall processes in coordination with vendors and internal teams
Support Quality Assurance and Product Development with vendor sample tracking and documentation
Collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and QA to support daily business needs
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience required
Hands-on experience managing purchase orders (POs) is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Gardena, CA 90249 | Hybrid: Tues, Thursday and every other Friday is on site| 8AM-5PM
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
