A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations across two manufacturing facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent material flow, driving cost efficiency, and building strong supplier partnerships to support production and customer delivery.
What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end purchasing for raw materials, services, and plant needs across two sites
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery
Drive supplier performance through metrics around cost, quality, and on-time delivery
Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities
Manage the full procurement lifecycle-from requisition through order placement and confirmation
Partner closely with plant leadership to align purchasing strategy with operational needs
Resolve supplier issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and billing discrepancies
Analyze spend data to uncover trends, mitigate cost increases, and improve buying strategies
Support ERP system functionality and ensure procurement processes remain efficient and accurate
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in purchasing or procurement within a heavy manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
Ability to travel to other facility based in the midwest (max 20%)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus
Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
