Purchasing Manager

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations across two manufacturing facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent material flow, driving cost efficiency, and building strong supplier partnerships to support production and customer delivery.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end purchasing for raw materials, services, and plant needs across two sites

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery

• Drive supplier performance through metrics around cost, quality, and on-time delivery

• Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle-from requisition through order placement and confirmation

• Partner closely with plant leadership to align purchasing strategy with operational needs

• Resolve supplier issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and billing discrepancies

• Analyze spend data to uncover trends, mitigate cost increases, and improve buying strategies

• Support ERP system functionality and ensure procurement processes remain efficient and accurate

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Experience in purchasing or procurement within a heavy manufacturing environment

• Strong negotiation skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting

• Ability to travel to other facility based in the midwest (max 20%)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
