The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Tool Designer to work out of itsstate-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of this Tool Designer include, but are not limited to:

Prepare tool, gage, and process enhancement designs using Pro/ENGINEERsoftwarePerform calculations to determine exact dimensions, correlatingspecifications and engineering dataAbility to make drawings for both production and vendorsInterface with continuous improvement, engineering, process engineering, andmanufacturing dailyInterface with vendors for procurement of purchased items

Location

Sidney, NY30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000

The key skills and qualities of a Tool Designer at Amphenol AerospaceOperations:

Associate's in mechanical engineer or related field/experienceExperience in a machine shop, tool-design/application position, or relatedarea preferredExperience with project management preferredWorking knowledge of Pro/ENGINEER softwareProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling multiple requests andprojects concurrentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentWorking with and on the manufacturing floor frequentlySome travel to tooling vendors or Nogales possible (minimal, 10%)
