Plant Manager

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate production activities across manufacturing operations including trailer assembly, machine shop, and sheet metal operations
• Review production schedules, specifications, and priorities to plan departmental work assignments
• Analyze production orders, quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules to support operational planning
• Plan shift production operations, assign duties to team members, and oversee departmental activities
• Establish production priorities and manufacturing sequences based on operational schedules
• Ensure production quality and output meet operational and customer specifications
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders for production teams
• Assist employees with troubleshooting manufacturing and operational issues
• Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize downtime and reduce delays
• Monitor machine and equipment performance to ensure optimal utilization and daily operational readiness
• Support training, coaching, and development of production employees
• Maintain production reports, attendance records, and operational documentation
• Partner with Quality Control teams to improve operating methods and product quality
• Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and manage production personnel
• Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5-8 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience required
• Experience within heavy industrial, metal fabrication, or manufacturing environments preferred
• Experience working with government or industry regulations such as DOT, ASME, or ISO preferred
• Strong leadership, team development, and employee management skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
• Strong problem-solving and operational troubleshooting abilities
• Experience overseeing production scheduling and workflow coordination
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and operational efficiency
• Proficiency with production reporting and operational documentation systems
