Press Supervisor
Location: Smyrna, TN (Relocation Not Available)
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime and Saturdays as needed

Job Summary
MS Companies is supporting a manufacturing client in Smyrna, TN in the search for a Press Supervisor. This role will oversee daily operations within the Press Department, support production goals, and help lead safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.
This position is best suited for someone with prior leadership experience in automotive manufacturing who understands stamping operations and can help keep production running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing
Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience working in or around metal stamping operations
Ability to lead employees and support daily production needs
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work from data and performance metrics
Basic math and computer skills
Working knowledge of Excel, including formulas and charts
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a press department leadership role
Background with robotic transfer systems
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience with continuous improvement efforts
Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Experience coaching or developing production employees
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead daily operations within the Press Department
Support Team Leaders and production employees on the floor
Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and overall department performance
Address issues as they arise and help implement corrective actions
Track results and support improvement efforts across the department
Reinforce accountability, consistency, and standard work
Help maintain a safe and organized work environment
Provide leadership coverage when needed
Physical and Environment Requirements
This role is based in a manufacturing environment and requires regular time on the production floor. Standing, walking, and working extended hours may be required based on production needs.
