Position Description

Provide maintenance technical leadership for the department related to plant rotating, fixed equipment and associated instrumentation. Key experience and skills include high level of experience managing PM programs in SAP. In addition, this role will be responsible for the boiler operation, having a Boiler Operator Certification is a plus.

  • Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist maintenance technicians and contractors in troubleshooting equipment issues.

  • Leads reliability equipment improvements and champions Reliability Centered Maintenance.

  • Supports and manages a Mechanical Integrity program in line with OSHA's PSM 1910.119 regulation.

  • Responsible for developing and implementing Preventative Maintenance plans for equipment

  • Develop and implement equipment best practices, then train/coach various departments and technicians in these practices

  • Create, review, and update department procedures and guidelines.

  • Support compliance efforts - RCMS, ISO, PSM, OSHA, etc.

  • Tracks and reports on reliability metrics (MTBF, OST, OSR, MTTR).

  • Works within and supports SAP plant maintenance PM module.

  • Leads spare parts optimizations for critical equipment, Safety and PSM identified critical equipment.

  • Provider of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) leadership to support reliability improvements

  • SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required in Maintenance, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

  • 7-10 years ofexperience needed

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Work as a self-starter to systematically resolve plant equipment issues utilizing a collaborative approach among employees, departments, and support groups.

  • Work from prints, diagrams, schematics, specifications, instructions, operations manuals, and manufacturer's manuals and specifications, to assist with scheduled and emergency repairs.

  • Familiar with MOC process related to system and equipment changes.

  • The ability to convey knowledge to others and perform training to maintenance technicians.

  • Develops and modify equipment repair/rebuild specifications

  • Provides back-up to Maintenance Supervisor and Manager when necessary.

  • Ability to lead cross functional teams in the process of developing procedures and standards around maintenance activities.

  • Provides support around spare parts management and storeroom direction for material stock levels.

  • Understanding of how to develop robust equipment PMs.

  • Experience managing a Mechanical Integrity Program

  • Experience with ASME standards

  • Experience facilitating 8 Step Root Cause Counter Measure Teams

  • SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Process Safety Management

  • Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment

  • Experience working in a HPWP.

  • Certification in Vibration Analysis and other Predictive Maintenance Technology.

  • Certification in API-510, API-570 and API-653 inspection standards.

  • Pressure vessel design and fabrication experience.

  • Steam system experience is a plus

  • Electrical and Instrumentation experience is a plus.

  • Experience in SAP-PM (or other CMMS) - Super User.

  • Reading, Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Locating Information, Observation, Teamwork.

  • Familiar with ISO-9001, Process Safety Management, RSMC, etc.

  • Stress Analysis Certification

  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) Certification

  • Advanced Vibration Analysis Certification

  • API Certifications

  • ISO-Quality Certifications

  • Certified Reliability Leader

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional

  • Experience developing Reliability Block Diagrams

  • WORKING REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to ascend heights and walk on grating.

  • Work in various climates (indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions).

  • Must be able to pass a respirator (fit test) and utilize other required PPE.

  • Must be able to work in an environment with various chemicals on a daily basis.

  • Must be able to coordinate emergency situations.

  • Required to participate on ERT and pass all of physical requirements

  • This position reports to the Mogadore Maintenance, Engineering and Reliability Manager

  • This is a salary exempt position with on call responsibilities.
