Responsibilities:
- Devising and establishing a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
- Spearhead development and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide health and safety initiatives, ensuring full OSHA alignment and cross-site accountability.
- Oversee comprehensive risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and coordinate recurring safety audits across multi-site operations.
- Facilitate high-impact training programs for critical safety procedures, including LOTO, hoisting, hot work, PPE usage, confined space entry, and equipment safety protocols.
- Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
- Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards
- Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Conduct regular audits to assess performance and identify areas of non-compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective action
- Monitor and evaluate customer feedback to identify trends and implement necessary changes
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality assurance processes and procedures
- Manage day-to-day operations of the QMSs and provide assistance to ensure that only product conforming to requirements is shipped to customers.
- Establish metrics and provide performance data/reports on the performance of the QMSs
- Lead lean and continuous activities in the quality department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Industrial Safety and Quality Management
- 5+ years of experience in industrial fabrication or equipment manufacturing
- Previous experience in a manufacturing industry
- Experience implementing ISO, OSHA, and ASME programs; QMS certification
- In depth hands-on knowledge of quality systems, policies, and procedures
- Familiarity with intelligent and industrial systems
- Computer Skills: MS Office, ERP systems
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Mechanical knowledge of gears, bearings, gearboxes
- Experience in negotiating and strong internal/external communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
