Tool Room Supervisor Jobs
A Tool Room Supervisor in the manufacturing industry oversees the operations of the tool room, ensuring the facility is stocked with necessary tools and equipment and maintained at optimal working conditions. These professionals manage the tool inventory, supervise tool room personnel, coordinate tool repairs and replacements, and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations. They also oversee tool room budgeting and often collaborate with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and production to facilitate efficient tool utilization and workflow.
Significant experience in manufacturing, tool management, and personnel supervision, along with technical knowledge of tool functions and maintenance, are crucial for this role. Certifications such as Certified Tooling and Manufacturing Professional (CTMP) or Certified Production Technician (CPT) can be beneficial. Proficiency in inventory management software, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and detail orientation are essential. Prior roles leading to a Tool Room Supervisor position could include Tool Room Assistant, Tool and Die Maker, or Tool Maintenance Technician.
