QC Supervisor Jobs in Alberta
A Quality Control (QC) Supervisor in the manufacturing industry is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the QC department and staff. They ensure that products meet company standards and customer requirements. Primary duties include developing and implementing quality control procedures, training and managing the QC team, conducting audits, reporting on issues and improvements, and liaising with other departments to optimize manufacturing processes. QC Supervisors need to possess a strong knowledge of manufacturing and testing processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Interested candidates should hold a degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Quality Assurance. Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and Certified Quality Manager (CQM) may be advantageous and could be required by some employers. Moreover, some essential skills for this role include leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Experience in the industry is critical; typically, an individual might progress to the role of QC Supervisor after having worked as a Quality Control Technician, Quality Control Inspector, or Quality Assurance Specialist.
