Material Handler Jobs in British Columbia

A Material Handler in the manufacturing industry is responsible for managing the movement, storage, and control of materials within a manufacturing facility. Important skills for a Material Handler include physical strength and stamina, as the job often involves lifting heavy items, as well as good organizational skills for managing inventory. Attention to detail is necessary for maintaining accurate inventory records. Operating machinery requires a certain level of technical skill, and safety consciousness is essential to avoid accidents. Certification as a forklift operator may be required, and prior experience in a similar role is often preferred. A person may have roles such as Warehouse Associate, Forklift Operator, or Inventory Clerk before becoming a Material Handler.
