Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Position Overview:
We're seeking a motivated Fabrication and Machine Operator to join our team in Indianapolis. This role is ideal for candidates with 6-8 months of recent mechanical or machine operation experience, especially those with backgrounds in auto mechanics, diesel, machinery maintenance, or fabrication. You'll work in a hands-on environment, operating industrial equipment, fabricating pipe, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
Assemble pipe orders and keep work areas and suppliesanized.
Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication machinery.
Measure, cut, thread, and bevel pipe using band saws, torches, and Landis machines.
Follow safety protocols for fabricating, assembling, stacking, and shipping materials.
Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA andpany guidelines.
Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
Accurately measure, record, and calculate random pipe lengths.
Qualifications:
6-8 months of recent mechanical or machine operation experience (pipe fabrication, automotive, diesel, farm equipment, etc.).
Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math for measuring and cutting.
Good oral and writtenmunication skills.
Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Computer skills for operating automated machinery.
Knowledge of safe work practices in an industrial environment.
Preferred: Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.
