Job Title: Civil Heavy Equipment Trainer

Position Overview:

Summit Construction and Development LLC is seeking an experienced and certified Civil Heavy Equipment Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training and certifying our operators on various types of heavy equipment used in civil construction, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, asphalt pavers, milling machines, motor graders, compactors, skid steers, back hoe, etc.. 

This role will ensure our team is trained to the highest safety and operational standards, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects. If you are passionate about equipment training, safety, and operational excellence, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on training to heavy equipment operators on construction sites.
• Train operators on equipment including excavators, bulldozers, asphalt pavers, milling machines, motor graders, skid steers, compactors, backhoe etc.
• Ensure all operators adhere to safety guidelines and best practices.
• Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing operators.
• Evaluate and certify operators on their skills and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate training records for all operators.
• Work closely with the safety department to ensure all training meets OSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to operators for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Certification in heavy equipment operation (OSHA, NCCER, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in operating and teaching heavy equipment for civil construction.
• In-depth knowledge of the machinery used in civil construction (excavators, bulldozers, etc.).
• Ability to teach complex operational procedures and safety practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and evaluate operators.
• At least 3-5 years of experience working with heavy equipment in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar, Roadtech, or Wirtgen machinery is a plus.

Compensation:

We are offering a competitive hourly rate between $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
