Module Fabrication Operator Job Description Under the guidance of the Plant Manager and Fabrication Coordinator, the Module Fabrication Operator is tasked with operating the Generon module fabrication processes and equipment. The role involves producing high-quality modules safely and efficiently while minimizing costs and ensuring compliance with regulations. Modules serve various industries by filtering chemicals, with applications ranging from food preservation to manufacturing and automotive uses. Responsibilities Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all plant policies, safety standards, rules, and procedures. Correct unsafe conditions promptly or notify the Fabrication Coordinator. Complete module fabrication operations including bundle preparation, tubesheet formation, module assembly, patching, coating, drying, testing, and shipping as directed. Perform quality control on raw materials using gel timer. Interact with PLCs to gather data and evaluate process operation, notifying the Fabrication Coordinator of any deviations from standard operating conditions. Be aware of regulatory requirements for hazardous waste handling, air permits, and spill reporting. Notify the Fabrication Coordinator of any deviations from permit conditions. Recognize when equipment requires repair or maintenance and communicate this for inclusion on the maintenance list. Identify opportunities for cost saving, quality, or safety improvements and communicate these to the Plant Manager. Work with the Fabrication Coordinator and plant support engineers to develop and revise standard operating procedures. Assist with training new operators. Record process information in logbooks for evaluation and participate in monthly communication meetings. Essential Skills Production and general labor experience. Willingness to learn a new skillset and punctuality. Mechanical experience in manufacturing is ideal. High School Diploma required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Manufacturing environment experience. Production experience and quality control knowledge. All 'nice to have skills' will be trained on the job. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a manufacturing environment within an 80k square foot facility, divided into sections including Loom, Warehouse, Mod Fab, and office. The Module Fabrication Operator will work in the Mod Fab section. The environment is not very loud, with temperatures varying with the weather. Security gates surround the facility, and there is a strict no-smoking policy within the premises. The work schedule is 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday, with some opportunities for overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburg, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
