Metal Machine Operator $18-23/hr Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce high-quality components. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Essential Skills Machine operation expertise. Experience in machining and machine operating. Proficiency in metal manufacturers Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience operating machines, preferably CNC machines Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials. Work Environment The work environment is a metal machine shop setting, typically noisy, and involves getting dirty from oils and machine operation. You will be on 2nd shift, which operates Monday through Thursday from 5 pm to 5 am, with training on first shift 7 am-3 pm for 1-2 months. You must have the flexibility to train on 1st shift but transition into 2nd once completed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
