Production Operator Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Production Operator, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of complex production equipment. You will work collaboratively within a team environment, utilizing manufacturing software and tools to package and produce various products. Your expertise in interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and schematics will ensure products meet customer specifications and tolerance levels. Responsibilities Operate complex production equipment safely within a team environment. Follow digital work instructions, blueprints, and guidelines to ensure product specifications are met. Execute equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Make necessary adjustments to equipment and provide feedback for process improvements. Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in a continuous production operation. Monitor meters, gauges, valves, and other controls to ensure adherence to specifications. Report malfunctions and make minor repairs to equipment. Perform tasks in accordance with established safety procedures. Set up and operate various machine tools, such as mill-turns, mills, lathes, grinders, and powder presses. Align and secure tooling, fixtures, and materials onto machines. Modify programs for Robot and Vision Systems as needed. Read blueprints and set/check work against quality control gauges. Troubleshoot operating errors and adjust programs to meet specifications. Communicate technical information with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel. Complete documentation, electronic data entries, and communications accurately. Move materials as necessary to complete assignments. Essential Skills Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. Experience with machine operation and quality checks. Strong computer skills related to production processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience running CNC machines is preferred. Work Environment You will be working in a non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment, where adaptability and efficiency are key. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LA VERGNE, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
