Machine Set Up Technician Job Description We are seeking motivated individuals for a role with the potential to advance to a Slitter Operator position. Your duties will include quality checking steel during and after the production process, using measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges, and managing shipping and receiving tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for moving materials around the facility and maintaining safe work practices. Responsibilities Assist in machine operation and aim for a future Slitter Operator role. Work effectively in a team of 3 to 4 members. Support additional packers as required. Load and unload machinery and materials. Conduct quality checks on steel during and post-production. Utilize measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Handle shipping and receiving of materials. Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times. Essential Skills Manufacturing experience with presses, steel, large machinery, etc. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/16 inch. Experience working in teams of 3-4 people. Skill in using hand tools and power tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with overhead cranes. Previous experience as a Slitter Operator. Forklift operation skills. Experience in steel handling Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
