Extrusion Operator Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic and foam packaging products, such as clamshell to-go boxes. This role is crucial for ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. Responsibilities Set up and operate extrusion machines according to production schedules and specifications. Monitor machine parameters and make adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency. Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance. Essential Skills Experience with machine operation and mechanical troubleshooting. Previous experience in extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with plastic, rubber, or metal extrusion processes. Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and lean manufacturing principles. Forklift certification is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Why Work Here?
