The Assembly Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency, while promoting Rehlkos core values: Curiosity, Trust, Pace, and Excellence. This role oversees a team of production associates and ensures that all activities are executed according to standard operating procedures, continuous improvement initiatives, and company policies. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with proven experience in high-paced manufacturing environments, committed to employee development and operational excellence.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coach a team of production associates across designated shifts and work areas.

  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and recognition to ensure high team engagement and productivity.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Execute daily production plans by coordinating personnel, materials, and equipment.

  • Partner with planning, materials, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedule.

  • Proactively address barriers to production and escalate issues as needed.

  • Ensure products are manufactured in compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform in-process audits and resolve non-conformances using root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act, California H&S Code).

  • Monitor and analyze production metrics such as output, efficiency, scrap, and downtime.

  • Generate and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive corrective actions for gaps.

  • Use data to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements.

  • Assess training needs and ensure all team members are properly trained on job functions, equipment, safety, and SOPs.

  • Mentor team members for skill development and career growth.

  • Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety audits.

  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Cultivate a zero-injury mindset and promote safe work habits.

  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives to drive productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.

  • Facilitate kaizen events and support CI project execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Manage timekeeping, attendance, and workforce planning using the Work brain system.

  • Participate in special projects, audits, and reporting tasks as assigned.

  • Maintain working relationships with internal teams (Production, SIOP, Quality, Materials), cross-plant Rehlko Engines operations, and periodically engage with corporate functions and senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a people leadership role

  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing production teams.

  • P roblem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills .

  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and familiar with ERP systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferences:

  • Associates degree preferred

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred

  • Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing and project management techniques are highly valued

The Salary range for this position is $69,800.00-$87,950.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience, their education, and the work location.
