GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support and documentation for the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for wood components.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Proficient in PC-based computer systems.
Strong process knowledge related to CNC machining, sanding, and wood component assembly.
Able to read, understand, and create new component and sub-assembly routings.
Willing to learn and operate various machine control systems.
Utilizes CAD/CAM systems to design new parts, fixtures, and machine programs.
Develops a high level of product knowledge.
Detail-oriented to ensure the accuracy of information delivered.
Makes sound decisions based on engineering principles.
Collaborates effectively with teams across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
Contributes in a team environment to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
2-4 years of experience in an engineering or technical manufacturing support environment.
Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems. Experience in Pro/ENGINEER-Creo, ALPHACAM, Bacci Pitagora is a plus.
Applies basic engineering procedures and practices.
Self-motivated and capable of managing personal workload.
Strong attention to quality with a focus on continuous improvement.
Effective in cross-functional team settings.
Works under direct supervision.
