Manufacturing Project Engineer
General Description:
The Manufacturing Project Engineer supports new work launches from a plant level in the automotive manufacturing environment. The Project Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
Support and follow the Company Safety Program
Assist with first time production run.
Support new program launch for the manufacturing division.
Collaborating with internal teams to drive a successful launch.
Assist in new equipment runoff, and program timing.
Verify manufacturing issues are resolved in a timely manner before SOP.
Monitor & Report project performance after SOP.
Travel to supplier sites to complete the following:
Collect equipment build status.
Aid in project timing development.
Other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field or 8-10yrs experience in a technical project role.
- Five years of experience in manufacturing processing in automotive industry.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to lift 35+ pounds
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Automotive Body components.
- Knowledge of ISO/TS16949 quality requirements.
- Knowledge of costing activities.
Job Location:
Supports the Gerstco Manufacturing Group with some travel as required.
