Reach Forklift Operator Job Description Join our team as a Reach Forklift Operator, where you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of fresh label soups for major companies. You will be responsible for efficiently managing raw ingredients and packaging supplies, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities Receive raw ingredients and packaging supplies according to specified procurement and quality guidelines. Put away all raw ingredients and packaging supplies in the appropriate storage locations. Pick and transfer raw ingredients and packaging supplies from warehouse storage to operation departments as requested. Ensure proper rotation of raw ingredients, first expired - first out. Return ingredients and packaging supplies back to proper storage locations after usage. Transfer finished goods to rack locations and/or shipping docks. Pick, follow first in - first out, and ship finished goods via shuttles or direct to the customer in accordance with all quality and regulatory requirements. Effectively complete all tasks through an ERP application. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, including dry, frozen, and cooler storage, and all receiving and shipping docks as well as the finished goods cooler. Maintain strong working relations with warehouse and operations leads. Monitor the accuracy of inventory locations and tags. Effectively communicate inventory discrepancies and other issues to the lead and manager as appropriate. Practice safe forklift operating procedures and maintain food safety practices. Monitor for safe load capacity on storage racks and safe storage procedures to eliminate workplace hazards. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent Forklift certification Reach Truck experience Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry Available to work overtime and weekends on a seasonal basis Additional Skills & Qualifications Self-driven to address problems and find solutions head-on Willingness to rotate through different machine center areas throughout shift Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward Positive attitude and motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team Able to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Creative problem-solving skills Obsessive attention to detail, well organized, and able to juggle many projects at once Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments Passionate about food Willing to address difficult situations head on with patience and respect Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment involves food production, requiring personal protective equipment such as hair nets, bump caps, ear plugs, gloves, and goggles. Employees must provide steel-toe boots. The facility is maintained at a cold temperature of 45 degrees. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
