Press Brake Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend metal materials to specified dimensions, ensuring precision and quality in every cut. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines to bend metal objects such as plates, sheets, slabs, billets, or bars to specified dimensions and angles. Adjust metal to bend to the appropriate degree. Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers to ensure quality bends. Essential Skills Experience setting up and operating press brake machine (1-2 years). Experience using measuring tape and calipers (1-2 years). Ability to document in English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working within a metal fabricating environment. Spot welding experience. Welding experience. Experience setting up and operating Cincinnati Press Brakes. Work Environment This is a job shop environment with loud conditions typical of a metal fabrication shop. The position is for the 1st shift, running from 6 am to 2:30 pm. Dress code appropriate for a fabrication shop is expected. Job Type & Location This position is based out of Northbrook, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
