Laser Operator - 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled **Laser Operator** to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, youll operate advanced CNC laser cutting machines to create high-precision parts used in critical industries including aerospace, infrastructure, and construction. Key Responsibilities

- Machine Setup and Operation

Set up and run CNC laser machines using blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.

- Precision Cutting

Cut a variety of materialsprimarily metalwith consistent quality, using laser equipment to meet tight tolerances.

- Monitoring and Adjustments

Continuously monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments (speed, power, focus) for peak efficiency and cut quality.

- Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Quickly resolve basic machine or software issues to avoid downtime. Conduct routine checks to ensure machine functionality.

- Quality Inspection

Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect finished parts and confirm compliance with quality standards.

- Team Communication

Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to ensure workflow and production goals are met.

- Safety First

Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

- Education

: High school diploma or GED required. CNC or manufacturing certifications are a plus.

- Experience

: Previous experience operating CNC laser machines is highly preferred. Familiarity with Trumpf, Amada, or similar systems is a bonus.

- Mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting

- Physically able to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely
