Forklift Operator - Tacoma, WA**
**Job Description**

This role requires flexibility in working different shifts and departments based on business needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors and adaptable to changing tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Safely operate forklifts in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
+ Read handwritten or system-generated sales orders to determine product specifications.
+ Operate chainsaw and other saw equipment with precision.
+ Perform daily inspections of forklifts as required by OSHA and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
+ Band lumber products for storage or shipping.
+ Assist in moving inventory for storage within the yard area as directed.
+ Properly store inventory, ensuring it is level and covered as necessary.
+ Assist in inventory and cycle counts as directed.
+ Help maintain clean and clear lanes and areas for traffic.
+ Perform other work-related duties as assigned by your supervisor and adapt to changes during the work process.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least one year of outdoor forklift experience.
+ Competency in math for measuring and cutting tasks.
+ Willingness to learn chainsaw operation.
+ Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Lumberyard, pipeyard, or metal experience is advantageous.
+ Experience with flatbed operations and cutting.
+ Open to candidates with one year of sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse.

The lumber yard operates from 7am to 3:30pm, and the warehouse shift runs from 9am until the final truck is loaded.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
