Job Description Summary
The Lead Facilities and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for owning the specification, commissioning, implementation, and sustainment of industrial equipment. This includes ensuring the programs are executed in a safe manner and meet all applicable compliance requirements. This position is part of a team of engineers with close interaction with manufacturing operations and facilities maintenance. Individual growth and development in this role is supported and encouraged.

Job Description
Responsibilities
Develop equipment requirement specifications and requirements based on process and facility needs and constraints.
Simultaneous program management of multiple industrial equipment programs in various stages of execution.
Coordinate between equipment supplier(s) and the internal, sourcing, and/or legal teams to ensure timely executions of equipment programs.
Drive improvements in maintenance activities and maintenance inventory to minimize downtime and lost production due to equipment failure.
Use data and technology to make decisions and drive improvements.
Ensures compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Control of hazardous energy, arc flash, fall protection, etc.
Applies previously acquired knowledge while integrating site-specific knowledge.
Works in team settings objectively to develop optimal solutions to complex problems.
Identify and supports the growth and development of less experienced team members, peers, as well as senior team members through skill evaluations, training plans, developmental plans, and succession plans.
Exchanges technical information, asks questions, and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related technical field (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Facilities Engineering and Project Management.
Desired Characteristics
3+ years of engineering experience in industrial, maintenance, and/or manufacturing setting.
Experience with industrial equipment, controls systems, and/or automation integration..
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Strong computer/technology skills and abilities.
Passionate/Energetic to make a positive impact
Comfortable collaborating with diverse team(s) on multiple impactful projects.
Experience working in a union shop.
