Injection Molding Operator - Shift 3

Position Summary
Equipment Operator I is responsible for ensuring the continued operation of molding machines and production machines through interpretation of and appropriate response to machine faults. This individual will perform simple, repetitive tasks associated with machine operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Able to read and understand procedures.
Responsible for safe operation of equipment in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Starts and understands Line Clearances, reviews paperwork for proper documentation to comply with GMP procedures.
Operates manual molding machines, trims parts off runners, separates runners, signs cleaning documents.
Operates scales, document s correct part quantities and weigh up
Meets all quality, quantity, and Good Manufacturing Practices to satisfy customer and Regulatory requirements.
Reports processing problems to appropriate delegate for resolution
Reviews procedures to ensure compliance and reports discrepancies to Supervisor
Transfers parts to Central Store
Transfers scrap and runners to the grinding area.
Answers press alarms to maximize press efficiencies.
Demonstrates accountability in providing and sustaining a positive Safety culture
Runs manual molding machines when required.
Maintains a neat and orderly work cell, following 5S and cleaning practices.
Ensures that molded presses run efficiently, reporting issues to staff to correct.
Able to learn to operate simple machines quickly and easily.
Able to demonstrate flexibility in operating multiple simple machines.
Supports overtime activities as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Ability to oversee/run assigned line/process without requiring assistance from others.
Ability to work at pace for line/process to achieve shift goal.
Performs routine safety inspections on assigned processes.
Must be detail oriented and have good manual dexterity and math skills.
Able clear equipment jams and reset equipment.
Able to escalate issues to line technicians as required.
Able to performs material changeovers (Paper/ Poly).
Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred.
Able to read and understand procedures.
Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred.
Knowledge and experience in use of mechanical and electronic measurement and test equipment preferred.
Mechanical ability and aptitude are necessary

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
0-12 months experience required.
Must be 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Use solvents, glue, or solder.
Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools.
Associate is required to use a computer or touch screen to enter work order data.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
This job operates in a clean room environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs.
