Job Description\:
Supervise process development and manufacturing operations for biologics-based therapeutics. Design and execute biologics production processes, resource planning, team coordination and execution, including data analysis, summaries, and interpretation. Technical lead in the transfer of projects into the facility and from process development to manufacturing scale. Coordinates resources and executes tech transfer and scale-up plans with technical leads and/or project managers. Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Trainer on the majority of development and/or manufacturing operations\: E.coli fermentation, Tangential flow filtration, and bulk filtration dispensing, Other production operations, Analytical Assay Development and transfer to QC, and Non protein base biologics production. PD and/or GMP record drafting and review. Project/technical transfer lead including client interaction and task management. Acts as a team lead for activities, such as, but not limited to, assigns daily task assignments, provides trouble-shooting support, and facilitates team communications. Possible responsibility for coordinating equipment maintenance, facility and lab upkeep, upgrades, planning, new equipment and technology implementation, vendor interaction. Mentor teams to meet project expectations related to timelines, budget, and quality. Provide exceptional communication and customer service to clients of the facility. Work in a professional and collaborative manner with coworkers and prospective users.

This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Job Requirements\:
· Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field and 5 years of experience OR a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field and 1 year of experience.
· Must have some experience in each of the following skills\:
o Excellent knowledge of GDP, GLP and/or GMP. E. coli-based protein process development, including fermentation, refolding, chromatography, tangential flow filtration.
o Operation of Sartorius Biostat Fermenters (5 – 50 L scale), Sartorius TFF systems (Slice and Sartoflow) and/or AKTA Purification Systems (Pure and Pilot).
o Analytical method development experience including chromatography and plate-based assays.
o Chemical and Biological Engineering.
o Biologics Process Development.
o cGMP manufacturing.

Anticipated Pay Range\:
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $99,757.00 - $109,705.00.
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
