POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production and packaging equipment within a food manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maximizing equipment reliability, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with industrial machinery, mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, pumps, and preventative maintenance programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and repair production, packaging, processing, and material handling equipment.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor system failures.
Repair and replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, valves, belts, chains, and related components.
Troubleshoot sensors, switches, relays, VFDs, and basic PLC-controlled equipment.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.
Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as needed.
Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance records.
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Experience in food manufacturing, packaging, production, or processing environments strongly preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift experience is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
