Position Summary
REHAU is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations within our PEX extrusion facility in Cullman, Alabama. This onsite leadership role is responsible for supervising production employees on a 12-hour night shift schedule, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while meeting production targets and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate is a people-focused leader who is passionate about coaching and developing employees, building strong teams, and creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities within the extrusion manufacturing area.
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Promote and enforce compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production performance, downtime, scrap, and efficiency metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production priorities and performance expectations.
- Support workforce planning activities, including scheduling, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare operational reports as required.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.
- Provide ongoing feedback, training, and performance coaching to support employee growth and skill development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs and partner with employees to create development plans that improve performance and prepare team members for advancement opportunities.
- Recognize employee achievements and address performance concerns in a timely, constructive, and consistent manner.
- Support employee relations initiatives by promoting open communication, trust, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in extrusion, plastics manufacturing, or PEX production.
- Experience with SAP or similar manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to frequently climb stairs and move throughout the production facility.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Schedule
- This position is fully onsite at our manufacturing facility in Cullman, Alabama .
- Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule .
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
