Salary Range: $28 to $31 Hourly

Schedule : 2nd Shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) (Monday thru Friday)

Education: High School Diploma (Minimum) 2-year Degree preferred in Engineering or a related Technical Discipline

Ideal Candidate: Ideal candidate will be someone who has at least 3 years Manufacturing experience. Candidates who are seeking to progress into a Process Engineer are preferred. Paint & Coatings Manufacturing experience is ideal, but not required. We would like candidates with excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving skills. Root Cause Analysis, Process Improvement, Quality, Lab and Testing exposure are preferred. Candidates must have strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel. Strong Data Entry and Documentation skills are necessary. Experience with powder coatings, polymers, or industrial chemical processes, Coating testing, exposure to quality systems is all preferred experience as well.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Technician to support manufacturing operations, and quality assurance initiatives in a powder coatings environment (2nd shift). This role offers hands-on exposure to adjustment work, process optimization, and laboratory testing, with a focus on developing problem-solving skills and contributing to continuous improvement within a high-performance production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Process Support:

  • Assist in monitoring and improving powder coating production processes
  • Collect and analyze process data to support process control, efficiency improvements, and waste reduction
  • Participate in troubleshooting production issues and support root-cause analysis
  • Verify run conditions changes during process
  • Set run conditions
  • Changeover verification

Product Adjustments:

  • Support adjustment of powder paints
  • Prepare test samples and conduct lab-scale batch experiments

Quality & Lab Work:

  • Conduct chemical and physical testing on in-process samples, and finished products
  • Perform quality control checks and document results in accordance with established standards
  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on product consistency, defect reduction, and process capability

Qualifications:

  • 2 year associates degree in Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Strong foundation in process engineering, and solving-problem skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, testing methods, and safe chemical handling practices
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and willingness to work in both lab and production environments

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Experience with powder coatings, polymers, or industrial chemical processes
  • Coating testing
  • Exposure to quality systems, SPC
