Profile
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team in Sidney, BC.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain all Company equipment and building maintenance activities;
- Manage recycle materials and liquid waste;
- Contact and direct outside contractors when necessary;
- Plan, implement, and review a preventative Maintenance Program for the company;
- Janitorial and shop clean up work as required.
Skills & Experience
- Canadian provincial or inter-provincial applicable ticket such as Millwright, Electrician, Carpenter, Plumber, Pipefitter, etc., or equivalent ticket from another country.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing operation is preferred;
- Able to safely set up and operate shop equipment;
- Ability to operate a forklift and perform carpentry work is preferred;
- Ability to work safely with limited supervision.
