IntroductionThis position plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing engineering team by reviewing engineering drawing work statements, assessing their impact on retrofit processes, and coordinating with design engineers and service bulletin engineers to ensure seamless implementation of engineering changes. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration between manufacturing and design teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering or technician role
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years
- Experience in coordinating engineering change requests (ECRs)
- Familiarity with tooling requirements and dispositions
- Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Review and analyze engineering change requests (ECRs) to determine their impact on manufacturing processes, tooling, and assembly
- Coordinate with design and service bulletin engineers to clarify technical details and resolve discrepancies
- Participate in change board meetings to present findings and support decision-making related to engineering changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and design engineering
