Maintenance Hybrid Technician (A3)

Position Summary:

The Hybrid Technician is responsible for supporting project execution with a primary focus on installation, assembly, and production of electrical components and systems. This role works collaboratively with technicians and management to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Installation & Assembly

  • Install, assemble, and modify electrical components and structures in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
  • Support fabrication and production of systems and components used in industrial applications.
  • Assist with installation, testing, and technical support activities as needed.

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Collaborate with technicians and management to meet project timelines and requirements.
  • Support team objectives by contributing to efficient workflow and task completion.
  • Follow direction and adapt to changing project demands and priorities.

Quality & Compliance

  • Perform quality checks to ensure fabricated parts meet tolerance, fit, and finish standards.
  • Adhere to company standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with safety policies and applicable regulations.

Equipment & Work Environment

  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including saws, drills, welders, and other hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a two-year technical or electrical degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical installation, manufacturing, or industrial environments required.
  • Prior maintenance department and forklift experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of materials and fabrication/electrical techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to use multimeters and other electrical testing equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license required or must be obtained within the probationary period.
  • Required to supply a pre-determined set of personal hand tools (specialized tools provided).
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and wear required uniforms, including safety boots.
