About the Role:

The Plant Manager is responsible for the organizing and management of day-to-day activities for plant operations. In this role you will provide training and guidance to team members enabling them to meet performance standards. You will determine resource requirements, work allocation and production deadlines to achieve production objectives, also managing team members in achieving daily productions goals. In this position you will ensure materials, supplies and equipment are readily and continuously available for workers to carry out production process. Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Increase production capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Be an advocate for improving the safety culture
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Ensure plant compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Recruit, manage and develop team members
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant
- Foster a continuous learning environment
- Commit to plant safety procedures
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
The Right Candidate:
- 3+ years manufacturing management experience or extensive feed mill experience (10+ years)
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (engineering, business, agriculture)
- Ability to multi-task and work with multiple projects and tasks
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience at working independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Knack for solving complex problems
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Ability to work and communicate with all levels of employees
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing
