Assembler in Training Salary: $19.00/ Hr.

The Assembler in Training assembles components and machine tools under direct supervision. This position is responsible for following work instructions, handling materials, and completing basic to intermediate assembly tasks to ensure quality and production schedules are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Access and follow daily and weekly production schedules.

Find, read, and follow electronic work instructions (via iPad).

Perform assembly responsibilities, including:

Pulling and packaging parts and materials (kitting).

Connecting and assembling small parts (sub-assembly).

Moving material and washing parts (material handling).

Basic wiring and panel assembly (enclosure).

Packing and cleaning finished components.

Correctly use all required gauges, tools, and equipment.

Identify potential problems and escalate to supervisor.

Operate powered and non-powered material handling equipment including carts, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lifts.

Follow all safety and quality standards.

Report any equipment or material damage to management.

Minimum Qualifications

Able to work overtime and Saturdays when business conditions require it.

Desired Qualifications

Basic knowledge of fasteners, threads, and torque wrench use.

Basic knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOMs).

High school diploma or GED.

Experience with electronic devices (iPad).

Education

High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is preferred
