A growing precision manufacturer is seeking a detail driven Production Control Specialist to support site level schedule execution, work order release, and order flow at a newly acquired site. This is a hands on role focused on keeping production data accurate, jobs moving on schedule, and risks surfaced early. Production Control Specialist What You Will Do
- Prepare, release, and maintain work orders in ERP based on production priorities, material availability, and operational readiness
- Verify work order packets, routing information, and required documentation are complete and accurate
- Monitor open work orders and ensure system status stays current and accurate
- Track jobs daily, identify emerging delays, and help prioritize jobs needing expediting or cross functional intervention
- Communicate schedule risks, bottlenecks, and constraints to Production Control leadership
- Maintain accurate order status, due dates, and transaction records in ERP, and resolve data discrepancies that affect schedule visibility
- Coordinate with Production, Materials, Quality, and Process Engineering to keep job flow smooth
- Communicate material shortages, quality holds, and routing issues that impact execution
- Prepare and maintain production tracking logs, dashboards, and schedule support reports
- Provide day to day guidance and training to Production Control Coordinators
- Support consistent execution of standard work and identify process improvement opportunities
Production Control Specialist What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, production control, scheduling, planning, or ERP transaction roles preferred
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
- ERP experience required
- Strong understanding of job flow, schedule discipline, and manufacturing order management
- Strong organizational, follow up, and data accuracy skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work effectively across Production, Quality, and Engineering functions
- Sense of urgency and strong follow through under shifting priorities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to perform all duties in compliance with US export control laws without employer sponsored export authorization
