Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead daily transportation operations at a client site in King of Prussia, PA. This hands-on leadership role oversees first and second shift transportation services, with primary working hours of 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The Transportation Manager will supervise a team of 10 drivers responsible for transporting employees and visitors between client sites, train stations, and campus buildings. This position ensures safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services while maintaining fleet readiness, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will partner with clients and operational leaders to deliver exceptional service and support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support a team of 10 drivers across first and second shift operations through coaching, scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily transportation activities serving client locations, campus buildings, and local train stations, ensuring safe and reliable service delivery.
  • Manage fleet operations including vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance scheduling, repair coordination, and fleet readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures while maintaining required documentation.
  • Conduct department and client-facing training programs focused on safety, service excellence, operational expectations, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor operational performance, investigate service or safety incidents, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What You Bring
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation, fleet, logistics, facilities, hospitality, or related operational environments, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to manage frontline teams, build employee engagement, and drive accountability in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Experience overseeing vehicle fleets, maintenance programs, transportation schedules, and daily operational execution.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, compliance requirements, training administration, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, drivers, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a focus on customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
